The Solomonic knot has been untied. At least as far as this interpretation is concerned. Beautiful and to the point! As a German, it makes me just as proud that our Christmas carols are loved, played and sung all over the world as it makes me ashamed that my ancestors brought so much suffering to the world. Thank you for this adorable performance of "Es ist ein Ros' entsprungen" by the divine Michael Praetorius.

Stellar performance, Bach would be proud! Feels like a slightly less traditional presentation, you add so much character and emotion in the right places!

I'm not a big fan of pantomimed performances of Passion music. It's like watching an actor deliver coaxed tears or like watching actors in a silent movie trying to express themselves through exaggerated mannerisms. The Passion text and the music speak eloquently without the distracting pantomime.

The membership of the singers in Solomon's Knot seems to change from one performance to another. The only constants I recognize are Jonathan Sells and Kate Symonds-Joy.

You know when RUclips for some unknown reason pushes a video with near zero views on you, from the other end of the world ... I'm in Western Canada ... for no apparent reason? Usually its cringeworthy or really bad or involves a cat, but very occasionally they drop a real gem on you and thats what this is. BooM ... wow ... wish I could see the show. Very complex piece, I've done it, takes a lot of practice to get it off page this well. Brightened my day.
